Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Chicago seeks a Manager of SOC Reporting to lead SSAE-18 SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements, directing audit programs, and mentoring staff. You’ll coordinate activities across business units, review evidence, and act as the critical liaison between external auditors and internal owners.

Strong leadership, communication, and process improvement mindset are essential. The role focuses on driving efficiency, governance, and advisory support to maintain high compliance standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5–7 years of progressive audit/compliance experience.
• In-depth understanding of SOC 1 and SOC 2 and SSAE-18 standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships with attention to detail.
• Experience supervising staff, evaluations, and mentorship.
• Executive-level communication with senior leadership and external auditors.
• Proficiency with Excel, data management, and reporting tools.
• Commitment to confidentiality, data privacy, and professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements from planning to final report.
• Coordinate audit activities, resource planning, evidence tracking, and submissions review.
• Lead, develop, and mentor audit staff with standardized training materials.
• Serve as liaison between external auditors and internal control owners; escalate issues as needed.
• Provide advisory services on audit requirements, control descriptions, and compensating controls.
• Plan annual external auditor meetings, scope alignment, and report issuance processes.
• Drive process improvements, templates, and governance for audit administration.
