Job summary

Meta Reality Labs is seeking a Silicon Performance Architect to lead performance modeling and analysis for next‑generation SoCs. You will conduct bottleneck analysis, build IP and SoC models, and drive HW‑SW co-design across disciplines.

You will collaborate with vendors, develop micro-benchmarks, and document findings for cross‑functional teams. The role supports a competitive package with bonus, equity and benefits in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in creating performance models using C/C++ or SystemC.
  • Experience with SoC architecture, NoCs, memory sub-system, QoS, and heterogeneous compute principles.
  • Experience with scripting, infrastructure, automation, and visualization using Python.
  • Experience with power concepts and trade-offs.
  • Ability to deconstruct technical problems, design performance experiments, analyze data, and document findings clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct bottleneck analysis of existing and future SoCs to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Develop accurate models of IP components, SoC fabric, and DRAM to predict performance.
  • Analyze workload behavior and create micro-benchmarks to evaluate performance.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and collaborate with HW teams for HW-SW co-design.
  • Work across disciplines, collaborate with vendors, brainstorm ideas, and coordinate multiple initiatives.
