SOC Operations Lead
Minerva Cyber Technologies is seeking a SOC Operations Lead to lead day-to-day security operations center (SOC) activities and improve the quality of investigations, escalations, and service delivery. You will coach SOC analysts, manage operational readiness, and coordinate with engineering and incident response teams.
What You Will Do
- Plan SOC coverage, work allocation, shift handoffs, and escalation responsibilities.
- Review case quality, response timeliness, backlog, and operational performance metrics.
- Coach analysts and maintain current playbooks, procedures, and training plans.
- Coordinate incident escalation, monitoring outages, security tool changes, and service dependencies.
- Turn operational trends and lessons learned into specific improvement actions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading SOC analysts or a comparable security operations team.
- Strong understanding of alert investigation, incident escalation, detection quality, and evidence handling.
- Ability to manage staffing and performance without sacrificing investigative quality.
- Experience communicating service risks and priorities to technical and business leadership.
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing 24×7 or shift-based operations, transitions, service metrics, or multi-environment security monitoring.
- CISSP, CISM, GCIH, or comparable security operations leadership expertise.
