System One in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a SOC Operations Analyst Mid to monitor networks for security issues, investigate breaches, and perform vulnerability testing. The role supports real-time cyber defense with IRTs, requiring a Top Secret clearance with CI Poly and a BS/BA degree, plus 5+ years in security and Splunk ES.

The position is onsite with a 40-hour work week, offering a pathway to advanced certifications such as GIAC and Sentinel.

• Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor computer networks for security issues and incidents.
• Investigate security breaches and cybersecurity incidents, documenting breaches and assessing damage.
• Perform tests with the security team to uncover network vulnerabilities, such as penetration testing.
• Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain high security standards.
• Recommend best practices for IT security and install security measures, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
• Conduct forensic analysis by creating sound duplicates of files, decrypt data, and provide technical summaries and input.
• Examine recovered data for relevant information and perform dynamic analysis including timeline, statistical, and file signature analysis.
• Support real-time cyber defense tasks to assist deployable Incident Response Teams (IRTs).

• Monitor computer networks for security issues and incidents.
• Investigate security breaches and cybersecurity incidents, documenting breaches and assessing damage.

• Preferred tools experience and/or certifications such as Microsoft Sentinel, GIAC certifications (GMON, GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, GNFA).
