Job summary

The City of Austin’s Austin Water seeks a Security Operations Center Officer to monitor alarms and cameras, manage access control, and coordinate incident response across facilities. You will train site officers, support law enforcement coordination, and help maintain regulatory compliance in a critical infrastructure environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2 years in security operations, with a Texas Class C driver license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of security SOC experience.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver License.
• Preferred: experience in high-risk security environments and rapid event recognition.

Responsibilities

• Oversees security and access control procedures for all posts and acts as contact to ensure safety.
• Monitors alarms and cameras, responds to incidents, and investigates threats.
• Disseminates information to management and provides guidance to security staff.
• Provides training to site officers and contract personnel as needed.
• Compiles periodic reports on site activities and irregularities.
