The University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill's Children's Research Institute seeks a Soc/Clin Research Assistant - Journey to support execution of study protocols, participant screening and recruitment, conduct study visits, and manage data collection and entry in a hybrid, university-affiliated setting.

Soc/Clin Research Assistant - Journey

Position Summary

Flexible work arrangements, including virtual/hybrid work locations, are an integral part of the School of Medicine's Working Forward initiative. As such, this position's work location is designated as hybrid. Please note that the designated work location is subject to change based on the unit's business needs. This position will serve as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator within the Children's Research Institute. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator assists with the execution of study protocols, including screening and recruiting study participants, conducting study visits, and collecting, entering, and reviewing study data. The position involves organization, detail-orientation, and flexibility, and managing competing priorities. The position will perform clinical research work experience in an academic health care setting using general office computer systems and programs, and work independently with limited guidance.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Management Preferences

• Experience in pediatric or adult clinical research.
• Recent, direct experience with clinical trials (including experience with UNC IRB process, FDA regulatory requirements, ICH GCP guidelines, and EPIC).
• Experience in execution of clinical trials in various stages, including study startup, recruitment, study management, data collection, and closeout.
• Experience with competitive enrollment studies.
• Experience with children in a clinical setting, including building rapport with families of diverse backgrounds.
