Job summary

ShorePoint is a fast-growing cybersecurity services firm dedicated to protecting high-threat public and private sector customers. This SOC Analyst Tier 3 role provides expert support for escalated issues, reviews vulnerability data, and ensures effective response across both classified and unclassified environments.

Based in Washington, DC, the position requires a Secret Clearance, 7+ years in a 24/7 SOC, and a strong ability to design solutions, collaborate across teams, and advance security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience working in a 24/7 SOC environment.
• Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.
• Applicants must currently hold and maintain an active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to complex issues escalated from Tier 2 analysts.
• Review vulnerability data reports to identify anomalies requiring investigation.
• Provide expert support for both classified and unclassified environments.
• Develop and implement solutions for undefined and complex technical issues.
• Investigate and analyze cybersecurity incidents to ensure accurate resolution.
• Employ ingenuity and advanced technical expertise to design new solutions and approaches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance SOC effectiveness.
• Contribute to advancing technical standards, methods and processes.

We are seeking a SOC Analyst Tier 3 (Secret Clearance) with deep expertise in cybersecurity operations. This role provides advanced support for issues escalated from Tier 2, investigates anomalies in vulnerability data and ensures effective response across both classified and unclassified environments. The SOC Analyst Tier 3 position requires expert technical knowledge, creativity in developing solutions and the ability to address complex problems impacting multiple disciplines.
