Job summary

MACOM seeks a SOC Analyst to join the Security Operations Center as a Tier 2 escalation point. You will investigate alerts from our MDR partner, handle containment, and help mature detection and response processes.

You will analyze endpoint, SIEM, email, identity, and network telemetry; tune detections; and contribute to runbooks and tabletop exercises. This role requires US person clearance and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in security operations or incident response.
• Hands-on with an enterprise EDR and a SIEM.
• Working knowledge of Windows, AD/Entra ID, and common attack techniques.
• Phishing analysis and email authentication experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate alerts escalated from MDR partner.
• Perform triage, scoping, containment, and documentation.
• Analyze activity across endpoint, SIEM, email, identity, and network telemetry.
• Tune detections to reduce false positives.
• Write runbooks and investigation procedures.
• Participate in tabletop exercises and post-incident reviews.
