Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0–3 years experience in cybersecurity, systems security, or related IT security activities.
• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles and threats.
• Ability to review security alerts and logs and escalate when needed.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
• Must have current Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM queues and alerts from firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security tools.
• Perform initial alert triage by reviewing severity and evidence.
• Review logs to identify patterns and establish incident scope and timelines.
• Follow incident response playbooks and document actions and findings.
• Assist senior analysts with security assessments and mitigations.
• Maintain incident records with proper sensitive-data handling.
