The Supervisor I serves as the Administrative Support Supervisor within the State Operations Center (SOC) Finance & Administration Section, providing day-to-day supervision and coordination of administrative support functions. The position oversees SOC timekeeping and purchasing support, coordinates contracts and related administrative processes, and provides broader administrative and fiscal support to the SOC Finance Section. The position works closely with SOC leadership, supervisors, timekeepers, purchasing staff, and program areas to ensure administrative processes are accurate, timely, compliant, and responsive to the operational needs of the SOC.

Headquarter Response Operations manages the systems, alerts, training, products, documentation and support for the state operation center. Our goal is to ensure response teams and liaisons are equipped with the right tools to successfully support disaster response coordination across the regions and state.
The current State Operations Center (SOC) at the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services has been a model for local governments, the private sector and non-profit organizations since it was built in 2001.
In the event of an emergency, employees may be contacted and requested to report to work in the event of an emergency. This contact may be outside of your normal working hours (evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays). This service may require irregular work hours, work locations other than the official duty location, and may include duties other than those specified in your official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and you may be required to relocate to emergency sites.
