Job summary

Electric Power Engineers, LLC in Panama City, Panama, seeks an Associate Project Manager – IT, Cybersecurity & SOC 2 Compliance to plan, coordinate, and execute IT and cybersecurity projects within SOC 2 environments, ensuring audit-ready documentation and rigorous change governance.

You will collaborate with IT Operations, Security, Compliance, and vendors to manage changes, track risks, collect evidence, and verify secure configurations before go-live.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with ITIL Change Management processes.
• Understanding of SOC 2 concepts or compliance environments.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing IT and cybersecurity projects within SOC 2 regulated environments to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Monitor and track project scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables, ensuring all aspects are documented and up to date.
• Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and necessary approvals.
• Facilitate coordination and communication between IT, Security, Compliance teams, and third-party vendors.
• Ensure that all project activities strictly adhere to documented policies, standards, and procedures.
