Job summary

Mohawk Mountain Ski Area, Inc. is seeking a SnowSports Pro (Instructor) to provide a positive, fun, and safe learning environment for skiers and snowboarders.

You will deliver lessons, promote excellent customer experiences, and act as an ambassador for Mohawk Mountain while in uniform. The role reports to the Snowsports Supervisor or Snowsports Director and requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate with customers.
• Must be able to ski and/or snowboard at an intermediate level or above.

Responsibilities

• Instruct customers on skiing/snowboarding skills.
• Teach skier etiquette and safe on-hill behavior.
• Serve as a friendly host to mountain guests.
• Assist with setting up and taking down learning center zones.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Snowsports Manager.

Description

The Snowsports Pro provides a positive, fun, and safe environment for skiers/snowboarders to build skills. Snowsports pros are responsible for the customer experience during lessons and being ambassadors for Mohawk Mountain whenever they are in uniform. Reports to Snowsports Supervisor, Snowsports Director.

Essential Duties

• Instructs customers on the skills of skiing/snowboarding
• Teaches skier etiquette and safe on-hill behavior
• Friendly and helpful host to mountain guests
• Assists with the set-up and take-down of learning center zones
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Snowsports

• Must be able to stand and work for extended periods
