Job summary

Mohawk Mountain Ski Area, Inc. seeks an Assistant Manager for the Snowsports Discovery Center to oversee day-to-day operations and staff.

Responsibilities include staff scheduling, assigning lessons, recruiting and training snowsports professionals, and ensuring high-quality instruction for clients and their families. This full-time/seasonal role requires leadership, organization, and a commitment to safety and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• PSIA/AASI L1 or equivalent preferred.
• Experience recruiting and training staff.
• Superior organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work outside in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assists with staff scheduling.
• Responsible for assigning lessons and non teaching tasks to all SDC staff.
• Provides communications with staff and customers as necessary.
• Assists with recruiting and training of snowsports professionals to fully staff the SDC.
• Provides supervisory roles for children's programs, daily lessons and school groups and other areas as needed.
• Works with the Manager of Snowsports to develop program goals.
• Assists in the development of training goals and strategies to help develop instructing staff.
• Helps to ensure the quality of instruction and uses all available resources to promote the continued education of the teaching staff.
