Colorado Brake & Supply is looking to hire a Snowplow Mechanic.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Snowplow Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on snowplow trucks and related equipment. This position ensures that all snow and ice removal equipment is operating safely and efficiently, especially during winter operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in snowplow trucks and equipment.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, brake checks, fluid levels, and tire inspections.
  • Maintain and service hydraulic systems used to operate plows, spreaders, and other snow removal attachments.
  • Inspect and maintain plow blades, spreaders, salt brine systems, and other winter service attachments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel and gasoline engines.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and fix issues.
  • Keep detailed maintenance and service records.
  • Assist in preparing equipment for seasonal use (pre-winter inspections and post-winter decommissioning).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic (experience with snow removal equipment is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willing to obtain).
