Job summary

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) seeks a Highway Maintenance Technician & Snowplow Operator in Chugwater, WY to perform maintenance duties under limited supervision and to provide a safe road system.

Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, snow removal, traffic control, and equipment upkeep; candidates should have 2–4 years highway maintenance experience or an associate degree plus CDL, and must obtain required certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of progressive work experience in Highway Maintenance/Construction.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL within 12 months.
• Defensive Driving, First Aid/CPR and Flagger certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates complex equipment safely and proficiently.
• Operates trucks with plows and other snow removal equipment.
• Performs traffic control and maintains roadway surfaces.
