Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring for winter 2026/27 across multiple roles including cooks, drivers, instructors, and more. Seasonal positions offer competitive hourly wages, free employee passes and ski lessons, plus discounts and training programs.

Roles include snowmaking, transportation, and on-mlope responsibilities with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. Starting wage ranges from $23.00 to $27.05 per hour, with full-time hours available and eligibility for benefits where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience operating/maintaining heavy machinery; snowmaking experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Ability to work outdoors in alpine environments.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate all transportation vehicles as per standard operating procedures.
• Understand and teach proper snowmaking quality checks.
• Responsible for accomplishing department objectives, training, organizing and motivating staff of different skill levels.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance including coaching, counseling and discipline.
• Recognize skill and ability of staff and delegate appropriately.
• Understand and operate snowmaking pumps, compressors, and snowmaking guns.
• Maintain snowmaking equipment and buildings as directed.
• Complete assigned tasks while unsupervised.
• Other duties as assigned
