Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking a Snowmaking Leader for Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 in Colorado. Join a team that builds opening terrain, supervises crews, and coordinates operations for reliable snow production.

Starting wage ranges from $25.00 to $35.20 per hour, with full-time hours during peak season. The role includes safety training, career development, and access to resort perks such as free passes and discounts. Applicants must be 18+ and able to work nights and adverse weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of snowmaking experience.
• 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work extended hours, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead snowmaking crews and supervise staffing.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and train snowmaking personnel.
• Plan and execute snowmaking strategies to meet opening dates.
• Monitor weather, system performance, and production metrics.
• Maintain equipment, inspect infrastructure, and coordinate repairs.
• Ensure OSHA safety standards and environmental compliance.
• Assist with budgets, payroll reviews, and reporting.
