Vail Resorts is hiring for winter seasonal and full-time snowmaking leadership roles in Colorado. You’ll help recruit, train, supervise and coach crews while planning snow production to support resort openings and terrain expansion.

The position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and collaboration with other departments. Starting wage ranges from $25.00 to $35.20 per hour, with perks like mountain passes, discounts and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of snowmaking experience.
• 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of snowmaking equipment, systems, and operations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work extended hours, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead snowmaking crews and support recruitment, onboarding, and training.
• Plan and execute snowmaking to meet resort opening dates and terrain goals.
• Maintain equipment, systems, and infrastructure; monitor performance.
• Ensure safety compliance and incident documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, staffing, and reporting.
