Job summary

Mammoth Mountain is seeking seasonal snowmaking staff in Mammoth Lakes, CA. You will operate snowmaking equipment, monitor snow quality, and ensure smooth operation through overnight shifts and varying weather conditions.

Eligible candidates have a California driver’s license, must be 19+, and pass a background check. This role offers a chance to grow with performance-based pay progression.

Qualifications

• California Driver's License required.
• Must be at least 19 years old with clean driving record for 3 years.
• Safety sensitive position with drug policies.
• Prior snowmaking experience a plus.

Hourly pay rate: $20.70 to $35.21

About The Position

• Operate equipment to produce man-made snow.
• Start and shut down snowmaking guns, check snow quality, remove ice buildup, and maintain equipment.
• Frequently work in adverse weather conditions.

Requirements

• Early October start with training in snowmaking equipment and procedures. Snow production begins late October or early November and continues until conditions no longer require it.
• Seasonal positions available; employment may extend to other departments post-snowmaking season.
• Primarily overnight shifts.
• Assist in staffing special events.
• Flexible, weather-driven schedules.
• Skill development and pay scale advancement based on performance. Skills assessment after 120 operating hours may lead to a raise or promotion.
• Must have a California Driver's License, be at least 19 years old, with a clean driving record for the past three years. Safety Sensitive position subject to drug policies.
• Prior snowmaking experience is a plus.
