Job summary

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe is seeking a Snowmaker I to help create man-made snow for ski runs at an introductory level.

The role involves setting up and tearing down snowmaking equipment, operating equipment safely, and assisting guests with resort information while working nights, weekends, and mid-October to late December.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid drivers’ license.
• Must be available to work nights including weekends on a flexible basis.
• Works Mid-October to late December.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills required.
• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Previous heavy equipment operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Involved with the set up and tear down of snowmaking equipment.
• Responsible for the safe and proper operation of snowmaking equipment.
• Shoveling snow off of equipment regularly.
• Relay crucial information to shift supervisor.
• Capacity to learn snow mobile operation and procedures.
• Coordinate and cooperate with other departments as necessary in the completion of the above essential duties.
• Provide information and answer questions about the resort to resort guests.

• Any other duties that may contribute to the cleanliness, orderliness and overall efficiency of the entire operation and all of the tasks contained therein.
