Job summary

Aspen One is seeking a Seasonal Snowmaker to help provide exceptional guest experiences by producing quality snow conditions across our resorts in Aspen. The role supports day-to-day operations and works with a team to ensure adequate snow coverage until conditions no longer require snowmaking efforts.

The position reports to the Snowmaking Manager and requires 18+ years old, HS diploma, valid driver’s license, and completion of ASC and Colorado snowmobile tests.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid, current, unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Must pass ASC and Colorado snowmobile test.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowmaking equipment per ASC safety standards.
• Transport gear and drive snowmaking vehicles on varied terrain.
• Develop understanding of mountain layout and snowmobile routes.
• Monitor snow quality and adjust as needed.
• Recognize hazards and communicate them within the system.
• Assist in maintenance of snowmaking guns and snowmobiles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Snowmakerposition is weather-dependent and supportsday-to-dayoperations,workingas part of a team to establish and maintain adequate snow coverageuntil conditions no longer require snowmaking efforts.This position reports to the Snowmaking Manager.

Essential Job Functions

• Operation of various snowmaking equipment includingshovels,guns, hoses, hydrants, etc. according to ASCservice andsafety standards
• Transportation of snowmaking equipment,includingdrivingvehicles including trucks, 4-wheelers, side-by-sidesandsnowmobiles onvariableterrain
• Developanunderstanding ofmountain layout and snowmobile routes
• Monitorquality of snowandmake adjustmentsas needed
• Recognize and communicate hazards within the snowmaking system
• Assist in maintenance and repair ofsnowmakingguns and snowmobiles
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Follows all safety policies and procedures and exercises caution when working

• Ability toreach, crouch, kneel,stand, bendorbe on your feetfor extended periods of time
• Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elementsand may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
• Must be able tofrequencylift, push or pullup to50 lbs. individually or with assistance
