Job summary

Vail Resorts, Inc. is hiring snowmaking staff for the winter season 2026/2027 at our Pennsylvania location. The Snowmaker role requires outdoor work in alpine conditions, operating snowmaking equipment and related vehicles, with strength to lift up to 50 lbs.

Starting wage ranges from $20 to $23 per hour, with full-time and part-time shifts available. Applicants must be fluent in English, hold a valid driver's license, and be prepared for background checks and compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic hand tool knowledge and skill.
• Able to work extended hours outdoors in an alpine environment.
• State background check clearances will be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowmaking equipment safely and efficiently.
• Operate snowmaking vehicles, including snowmobiles, safely.
• Perform routine maintenance on snowmaking equipment.
• Contribute to snow production for optimal skiing surface for guests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Starting Wage: $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Job Responsibilities

The expected pay range is$20.00/hr - $23.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
