Job summary

Jobtailor in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a senior data engineer/analytics engineer to design scalable data pipelines, develop enterprise data models, and automate reporting. You will work with Snowflake, dbt, Python, and Power BI to deliver executive dashboards and actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or business intelligence development roles.
• Expert-level proficiency with Snowflake, including advanced SQL optimization.
• Expert-level proficiency with dbt, including model development, testing, and deployment.
• Hands-on experience building semantic layers and interactive dashboards in Power BI.
• Advanced programming skills in Python for data manipulation.
• Experience developing code to extract, transform, and load data from ERP, Billing, CRM, and core business applications.
• Direct experience using generative AI utilities such as Snowflake Cortex, Claude, and Codex.
• Ability to write, optimize, and maintain complex dbt models and SQL transformations directly within Snowflake.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Must have a car
• Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance required
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must demonstrate a "can-do" attitude
