Job summary

infini-tek is seeking an experienced Data Modeler to design and optimize data models for Snowflake. You will craft conceptual, logical, and physical models, focusing on scalable performance and governance. You will work with BI/ETL teams to ensure models support reporting and analytics.

The role emphasizes dimensional modeling (Kimball) or Data Vault 2.0, strong SQL, and hands-on use of Erwin/ER/Studio/SqlDBM/PowerDesigner to deliver robust data structures and metadata documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data modeling with 4+ years on Snowflake/cloud data warehouses.
• Strong knowledge of Kimball dimensional modeling or Data Vault 2.0.
• Proficiency with data modeling tools (Erwin, ER/Studio, SqlDBM, PowerDesigner).
• Solid SQL skills and Snowflake constructs (VARIANT, clustering, MV).
• Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and governance.
• Collaborative with BI/ETL/business-analyst teams.

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Build dimensional or Data Vault models for Snowflake architecture.
• Translate models into Snowflake DDL with clustering and micro-partitioning.
• Maintain data dictionaries and lineage documentation.
• Use modeling tools to create and version models.
