KellyMitchell is seeking a Data Governance Engineer in Glendale, CA for a 12-month contract on a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day remote). The role focuses on hands-on administration of enterprise data governance tools with a strong emphasis on Snowflake, RBAC, masking, and tagging.

You will partner with data engineering, security, and governance teams to implement policies as technical controls and maintain reliable production operations.

Formación

• 3+ years in data engineering, software engineering, or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on Snowflake experience: RBAC, data masking, object tagging.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience supporting, monitoring and troubleshooting production systems.
• Knowledge of data catalogs, metadata management, data classification, and data quality.
• Ability to translate governance/security requirements into technical implementations.

Responsabilidades

• Administer and configure Snowflake Horizon and Snowflake security features (RBAC, masking, tagging).
• Implement and maintain data access governance policies and security controls across data platforms.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot data quality checks, alerts, and governance tools.
• Maintain data catalogs, metadata, descriptions, and classification standards to improve discoverability.
• Support identity and access integrations, user onboarding, access certifications, and governance troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with platform engineering and SRE to test, integrate, and deploy governance capabilities.
• Automate governance configurations and maintain runbooks and procedures.
