Job summary

Brite Systems Inc. is seeking a Database Architect to own the Snowflake data foundation, data modeling, governance, and performance engineering.

You will set standards used by Data Engineers and Data Scientists to keep the platform secure, scalable, and cost-efficient as data workloads grow. The role requires 8+ years in enterprise data architecture with Snowflake focus, and strong experience with governance controls and dbt, Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of enterprise data architecture experience, including 3+ years focused on Snowflake.
SnowPro Core certification required; SnowPro Advanced Architect certification strongly preferred.
Experience implementing governance and security controls in regulated or federal environments (FISMA/NIST 800-53).
Hands-on experience with dbt, Snowpipe, and Streams & Tasks for pipeline orchestration.

Responsibilities

Design the target-state Snowflake architecture and data model for consolidating on-premise and cloud data sources.
Define and enforce governance and security controls: RBAC, dynamic data masking, row-level security, data lineage, cataloging aligned to FISMA/NIST SP 800-53.
Lead performance and cost engineering: warehouse right-sizing, clustering, materialized views, workload isolation.
Set standards and review designs for multi-source ingestion pipelines (Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks, dbt).
Partner on Snowpark in-platform transformation to minimize data movement.
Design MuleSoft ingestion patterns using Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks and staging tables.
Implement Secure Data Sharing, External Functions and REST API enablement for MuleSoft.
Design secure views, Dynamic Data Masking and Row-Level Security.
