Job summary

Confiz is seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Platform Architect / Lead Engineer to design, build, and operationalize a modern enterprise Snowflake data platform from the ground up.

This role leads platform architecture, data engineering, governance, security, automation, performance optimization, and production operations while partnering with business, analytics, infrastructure, and security teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data engineering/architecture and enterprise data warehousing.
• 5+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience in production environments.
• Experience designing and deploying Snowflake platforms from ground up.
• Strong SQL, Snowflake architecture, security, governance, and workload optimization.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on with ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, Informatica, Matillion, Fivetran, Airflow, ADF, Glue.
• Experience implementing CI/CD and DataOps practices.
• Excellent cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise Snowflake architecture including databases, schemas, and RBAC.
• Build scalable data ingestion pipelines using Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and APIs.
• Develop enterprise data models (raw, staging, curated, analytics) using modern DW practices.
• Implement security, governance, masking, lineage, and access policies.
• Optimize Snowflake performance with tuning, clustering, and cost management.
• Establish CI/CD and DataOps with Git, Terraform, dbt, and related tools.
• Build monitoring, disaster recovery, backup, replication, and production support.
• Enable secure data sharing with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker.
• Lead technical design sessions and mentor engineering teams.

Confiz is seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Platform Architect / Lead Engineer to design, build, and operationalize a modern enterprise Snowflake data platform from the ground up. This role will lead platform architecture, data engineering, governance, security, automation, performance optimization, and production operations while partnering with business, analytics, infrastructure, and security teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise Snowflake architecture, including databases, schemas, virtual warehouses, RBAC, networking, security, governance, and environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod).
• Build scalable batch, CDC, streaming, and real-time data ingestion pipelines using Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, APIs, cloud storage, and ETL/ELT tools.
• Develop enterprise data models including raw, staging, curated, dimensional, semantic, and analytics layers using star schema, Data Vault, and modern data warehouse practices.
• Implement security, governance, compliance, masking, row/column-level security, object tagging, lineage, and access policies.
• Optimize Snowflake performance through warehouse tuning, clustering, query optimization, resource monitoring, and cost management.
• Establish CI/CD and DataOps processes using Git, Terraform, dbt, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Flyway, Liquibase, or similar tools.
• Build operational monitoring, alerting, disaster recovery, backup, replication, and production support processes.
• Enable secure data sharing and integration with BI platforms including Power BI, Tableau, Looker, and other analytics tools.
• Lead technical design sessions, mentor engineering teams, define enterprise standards, and support modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Enterprise Data Warehousing.
• 5+ years of hands‑on Snowflake experience in enterprise production environments.
• Proven experience designing and deploying Snowflake platforms from the ground up.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, security, RBAC, data governance, and workload optimization.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT technologies such as dbt, Informatica, Matillion, Fivetran, Airflow, ADF, Glue, or similar.
• Experience implementing CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, automated deployments, and DataOps practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
