Job summary

Vail Resorts in Ludlow, California, is seeking a self-motivated Snowcat Operator for the 2026/2027 winter season. You\'ll groom snow surfaces and prepare trails for guests, operating some of the industry\'s coolest equipment.

The role requires the ability to work with a team, safely handle heavy machinery, and maintain machines. Starting pay is $20.00–$23.00 per hour, with full- and part-time hours available.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy machinery is required.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.
• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of grooming equipment.
• Prepare and groom ski area trails and surfaces.
• Work collaboratively with others.
• Minimize downtime through preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of machines.
• Other duties as assigned.
