Vail Resorts is seeking a Snow Cat Operator for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. You will maintain the appearance of our snow and ski surfaces by operating heavy grooming equipment, ensuring the best snow surface for guests. Starting wage is $23.75/hr to $26.88/hr, with full-time hours available and housing options.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of snow grooming experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow grooming equipment to maintain resort slopes and trails.
• Understand use, operation, and maintenance of heavy equipment.
• Maintain general knowledge of the mountain and follow safety regulations.
• Perform basic inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Communicate clearly via 2-way radio and coordinate with shop mechanics.
• Collaborate with coworkers and other departments to support operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
