Job summary

Vail Resorts in the United States is seeking a Snowcat Operator to groom and prepare snow surfaces for skiers. This winter seasonal role offers hands-on work with one of the coolest pieces of equipment in the industry, starting at $20.00–$23.00 per hour.

Employment is winter seasonal 2026/2027 with housing available. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, be fluent in English, and able to operate heavy machinery while safely exiting and entering the machine.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Experience working with and operating heavy machinery.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Climb in and out of the machine safely.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of grooming equipment.
• Prepare and groom ski area trails and surfaces.
• Work collaboratively with others.
• Minimize downtime through preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of machines.
• Other duties as assigned.
