Job summary

Brighton Resort is seeking passionate snowboard instructors for the winter season. You will teach private lessons, group programs, and multi-week series to riders of all ages and abilities, delivering high-quality, personalized guest experiences.

We value confident leaders who communicate well and bring enthusiasm on and off the snow. Expect a mix of morning to afternoon shifts, with potential evening classes, and mandatory paid training on specific dates.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• You have worked as an instructor at another ski area
• Experience working with students of a variety of ages, skills, and group size
• Intermediate + skiing or snowboarding skills
• PSIA or AASI a plus, but not required
• A growth mindset (an openness to learning and feedback)
• Must submit a resume during the application process

Responsibilities

• Mandatory paid training for experienced instructors (Nov 21-22; indoor option Dec 5-6 if needed)
• Responsible for the safety and learning of students in lessons
• Expected to teach students of all ages
• Effective communication with students, parents, resort staff and guests
• Engage in continuing education such as teaching tactics, sliding skills, and people skills
• Other duties related to the daily operation of the Snowsports School
• Ability to work outdoors in the winter mountain environment
• Able to consistently work in a physically strenuous and mentally demanding position for the full operating season
• Other duties as assigned.
