Job summary

DeHamer Landscaping in Michigan is seeking a winter snow crew lead to help our snow team. You will guide a sidewalk crew, shovel and remove snow from walks and driveways for residential and commercial sites, and apply de-icing materials to keep paths safe. Expect night-time hours, with potential daytime shifts based on snow events.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license with two years of driving experience and clean record.
• Reliable transportation to various job sites.
• Experience leading a crew preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in cold and snowy conditions.
• Physical stamina for repetitive tasks, such as shoveling and lifting.
• Punctual, dependable, and a team player.
• Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage other sidewalk crew members.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and other areas as assigned for both residential and commercial sites using company supplied equipment.
• Apply salt or other de-icing materials to ensure safe walking conditions.
• Work efficiently and safely to meet all deadlines and requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and equipment.
• Report any hazards or areas needing attention to dispatch or supervisors.
• Maintain good attendance and arrival as promptly as possible for each snow event you are called for.
• The hours will typically be between 11:00pm to 8:00am. Please note that times and shifts could fluctuate more or less based on snow event, routes, and/or snow conditions. Daytime or nighttime hours available.
