Job summary

DeHamer Landscaping is hiring winter snow shoveling help to support our snow team in Grandville, Michigan.

We value reliability, a strong work ethic, and teamwork. You will shovel snow, apply salt, and keep sidewalks and driveways safe during overnight or early-morning shifts. Training and safety equipment are provided, and there is weekly pay with potential for future seasonal employment or advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old to work nighttime hours.
• Valid driver's license with 2 years driving experience and a clean record.
• Reliable transportation to various job sites.
• No prior snow removal experience required; training provided.
• Ability to work outdoors in cold and snowy conditions.
• Physical stamina for repetitive tasks like shoveling and lifting.
• Punctual, dependable, and a team player.
• Flexible hours including early mornings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and other areas for residential and commercial sites using company equipment.
• Apply salt or de-icing materials to ensure safe walking conditions.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and equipment.
• Report hazards or areas needing attention to dispatch or supervisors.
• Work efficiently and safely to meet deadlines and requirements.
• Maintain good attendance and arrive promptly for each snow event.
• Hours typically 11:00pm to 8:00am; shifts may vary based on snow events; daytime or nighttime hours available.

Responsibilities:

• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and other areas as assigned for both residential and commercial sites using company supplied equipment.
• Apply salt or other de-icing materials to ensure safe walking conditions.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and equipment.
• Report any hazards or areas needing attention to dispatch or supervisors.
• Work efficiently and safely to meet all deadlines and requirements.
• Maintain good attendance and arrival as promptly as possible for each snow event you are called for.
• The hours will typically be between 11:00pm to 8:00am. Please note that times and shifts could fluctuate more or less based on snow event, routes, and/or snow conditions. Daytime or nighttime hours available.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years old to work nighttime hours.
• Valid driver's license. Two years of driving experience with a clean record required.
• Reliable transportation to various job sites.
• No prior experience is necessary - just a strong work ethic and a willingness to work in the snow. We are willing to train.
• Ability to work outdoors in cold and snowy conditions.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, such as shoveling and lifting.
• Punctual, dependable, and a team player.
• Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
