Middlebury College Snow School Instructor position is a part-time, hourly role based at Snowbowl/Rikert in Vermont. Instructors teach guests of all ages and abilities, act as ambassadors, and collaborate with Snowbowl departments to provide a safe, engaging learning environment.

Flexible scheduling, a 16+ age minimum, and Junior Instructor tracks exist. This role offers no benefits but includes employee pass perks and access to college resources.

Qualifications

• Proficient ski and/or snowboard skills.

• Ability to connect with people and manage group dynamics.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for missing or injured students and guests.

Responsabilités

• Teaches ski and/or snowboard lessons to guests of all ages and abilities.
• Acts as a mountain ambassador and works as part of a team.
• Works cooperatively with Snowbowl departments and assists other departments as needed.

Snow School Instructor Responsibilities

• Teaches ski and/or snowboard lessons to guests of all ages and abilities and acts as a mountain ambassador.
• Works as part of a team dedicated to creating the best possible environment for taking and teaching a ski or snowboard lesson.
• Works cooperatively with all Snowbowl departments. Prepared to assist other departments as needed.

Employees at the Snowbowl and Rikert Nordic Center receive a free season pass and discounts for family for passes, rentals and Snow School.

This is a part-time, hourly, non-benefits eligible position. The hourly wage for this position is $17.50 per hour.

Applicants under the age of 16 will be hired as Junior Instructors. The hourly rate for a Junior Instructor is $16.50.

Middlebury College students are not eligible for this staff position.
