We proudly serve commercial and residential customers throughout Oakland County and surrounding areas.

Position Overview

Plow and Salt Truck Drivers help keep commercial properties, parking lots, and driveways clear and safe throughout the winter season. We are looking for dependable drivers who can operate trucks safely, remove snow efficiently, and apply salt or other ice-melting materials as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate plow trucks to clear snow from parking lots, driveways, access roads, and other assigned areas.
• Operate salt trucks and spreaders to apply salt and other ice-melting materials as directed.
• Drive safely in snow, ice, low visibility, and other challenging winter conditions.
• Follow assigned routes and complete snow removal and salting assignments efficiently.
• Protect curbs, landscaping, vehicles, pavement, and other property while operating equipment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections and report mechanical issues or damage.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job progress and site conditions.
• Respond promptly when called in for snow events.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous snow plowing and/or salt truck experience (2 yrs. Min).
• Ability to safely operate a truck in winter weather conditions.
• Must be available 24/7 during snow events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work overnight and during extended snow events when necessary.
• Dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
• Commercial snow removal experience is a plus.

Note:

Applicants must hold any additional license or endorsement required for the specific vehicle they will operate. We will need to run an MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) for commercial insurance approval.

Job Details

• Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary (Seasonal)
• Starting Pay: $25.00 per hour (starting pay negotiable depending on experience)
• Shift Availability: Day, night, and overnight shifts required as weather conditions dictate.

Important Seasonal Employment Information

Snow removal is on-call work, and hours are determined entirely by weather conditions. Employees must be prepared for unpredictable schedules and short-notice call-ins.

Applicants under 18 years old or currently in school are not eligible due to the unpredictable hours and availability requirements of winter snow removal.
