Job summary

Homewood Mountain & Lake Club in California is seeking a Gondola Operator to safely operate, load, ride, and unload the gondola while delivering a high level of guest service between the lake and the slopes.

The role requires attentiveness, teamwork, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training emphasizes safety procedures and excellent communication with guests and staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure gondola loading/unloading areas are free of ice/debris and ready for guest loading/unloading.

• Remain engaged and attentive while safely loading/unloading guests.
• Provide exceptional guest service during loading/unloading of skis, snowboards, bikes, and equipment.
• Assist children and guests with accessibility needs as required.
• Snow removal as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Gondola Operator - Homewood Mountain & Lake Club, Homewood, California

Job Summary: Gondola Operators are responsible for the safe operation, loading, riding and unloading of the gondola. This position plays an essential role in delivering a safe, efficient, and positive experience for all guests while maintaining the highest standards of safety and service.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure Gondola loading and unloading areas are free of ice/debris, and ready for guest/employee loading and unloading.
• Set up proper mazes depending on the demand for the day.
• Periodically check the maze to ensure it is still up to par.
• Remain engaged, attentive, and focused while safely loading and unloading guests from gondola cabins.
• Provide exceptional guest service while assisting with the loading and unloading of skis, snowboards, bicycles, and other equipment.
• Perform repetitive motions associated with loading and handling guest equipment.
• Provide additional assistance to children, guests with accessibility needs, or anyone requiring extra support.
• Snow removal as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

The Company’s good faith estimate of the hourly rate it expects to pay for this role is $21-$25 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
