Job summary

Sundance is seeking a Snow Removal Attendant to assist the Grounds team around the resort base area, HOA’s and Mountain Home units during active snowstorms. You will be scheduled for a minimum of two shifts per week (up to 10 hours each) with shifts from 5am to 11pm, Sun-Sat, on-call as needed.

The role requires the ability to shovel, operate snow blowers, and apply ice-melt, while adhering to safety guidelines. Candidates must be 16+ and possess a valid US driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Less than high school education or up to 1 month related experience accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Snow removal on steps and pathways around resort and nearby properties.
  • Shovel snow for long periods of time.
  • Operate Snow Blowers to clear areas.
  • Spread ice-melt on pathways, steps, walkways, bridges and patios as needed.

Job description

Job Title: Snow Removal Attendant

Rate of Pay: $24.00 Hourly During Active Storm Cycles.

Shift: On Call; Must have scheduled availability for a minimum of 2 shifts (up to 10hr/shift) each week; Shift times vary between operating hours of 5am-11pm, Sun-Sat.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

SUMMARY

The Snow Removal Attendant will be responsible for assisting the Grounds team on Snow Removal around Resort Base area, HOA's & Mountain Home units during active snowstorms. An active storm cycle is defined as the time between the first snowfall of a storm and the last snowfall of a storm with no more than 24 hours of no snow in between. Prior to forecasted active storm cycles, staff will be contacted and scheduled based on pre-determined scheduled availability. Staff will be required to submit scheduled availability for a minimum of two shifts (up to 10 hours) per week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Snow removal on steps and pathways throughout resort, HOA's & Mountain Homes.
  • Staff must be able to shovel snow for long periods of time.
  • Staff must be able to operate Snow Blowers.
  • Spread ice-melt on pathways, steps, walkways, bridges, decks and patios as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Operate 2-way radios for communication to other staff.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Drivers' License in good standing as determined by Sundance's Insurance Company guidelines.
