Job summary

Hawaii Gas is seeking a Plant Manager to direct the SNG Plant operations on Oahu. You will coordinate gas production, quality, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and emergency planning while ensuring safety and environmental responsibility.

You will lead a team, collaborate with senior leadership, manage budgets and capital projects, and align with company initiatives in a unionized environment. This role requires 12+ years in industry and 10+ years in plant management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemistry.
• 12+ years industry experience.
• 10+ years managing a manufacturing plant.
• Experience with emergency preparedness and incident management.
• Experience with budgets and cost optimization.
• Union environment experience.
• Familiar with SNG manufacturing process and PSM/RMP.

Responsibilities

• Oversees SNG plant activities including supply coordination, gas production, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, facility maintenance, and administration.
• Collaborates with Senior Leadership to develop department goals, priorities, and resourcing.
• Ensures a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible culture by EH&S oversight and training.
• Develops budgets, monitors production costs, and defines performance metrics.
• Oversees special projects including turnarounds and major capital initiatives.
