Job summary

Food Bank For New York City seeks a Benefits Network Engagement Coordinator to support its CBO partner network and drive SNAP outreach and TEN initiatives. You will liaise with organizations, deliver training, coach partners, and coordinate resources to improve access to food and economic benefits for low-income New Yorkers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience in social services, benefits programming, or a similar field.
• Strong project and relationship management skills, with experience liaising with community-based organizations or government agencies.
• Knowledge of SNAP policy, application processes, or other income support benefits or programs offered by NYC HRA is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and other applications; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse and low-income populations; experience with Emergency Food Providers is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, public speaking, and training facilitation skills.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Willingness and ability to travel citywide, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner Engagement, Activation and Support: serve as primary contact for a network of CBOs and provide technical assistance.
• Maintain regular communication with partner agencies to help them meet monthly screening, application, and referral goals.
• Monitor partner performance on SNAP metrics and TEN referrals; develop TA strategies to improve services.
• Develop annual activation plans with partners to expand SNAP and related services across NYC.
• Network Coordination & Expansion: recruit new partner sites in line with strategic priorities; assess organizations’ capabilities for SNAP enrollment or outreach.
• Develop service profiles of network members and determine capacity to become enrollment or TEN-referral partners.
• Training & Onboarding: conduct orientations and refresher trainings for existing CBOs; facilitate trainings on SNAP and TEN best practices.
• Develop and update documentation and SOPs to standardize work for partners.
• Network Convenings & Site Visits: support quarterly network meetings; coordinate site visits to finalize activation or recruitment.
• Provide in-person technical support as needed.
• Data Monitoring & Reporting: use Salesforce to track SNAP applications, referrals, client outcomes; analyze data to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align cross-program referrals and benefits participation.
• Administrative & Grant Support: assist with partner agreements and grant allocations; monitor progress against goals.
