Job summary

Mathematica is seeking Advisory Services Analysts with SNAP and SNAP E&T experience to support federal, state, and local clients. You will contribute to multidisciplinary teams, analyze policies, collect and interpret data, and draft client deliverables.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field with professional experience.
• 2+ years of relevant experience including SNAP policy, program administration, operations, technical assistance, research, data analysis, or program improvement.
• Working knowledge of SNAP and SNAP E&T policy and program operations.
• Experience conducting policy or program analysis, research, or technical assistance in nutrition or human services.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Strong collaboration, organizational, and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Some travel may be required, up to 10 percent.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams and own assigned tasks and workstreams.
• Analyze SNAP and SNAP E&T policies, requirements, and operational challenges and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and synthesize qualitative and/or quantitative information.
• Support technical assistance and advisory engagements with federal, state, and local agencies and partners through needs assessment, research, and development of tools and resources.
• Draft clear client deliverables including memos, briefs, reports, and presentations.
• Communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences and collaborate across disciplines.
• As experience grows, lead defined tasks or workstreams with guidance from project leadership.
