Job summary

Dieffenbach’s Snacks in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a QA Technician for 2nd shift to help maintain product quality from raw potatoes to finished bags. You will inspect taste, salt levels, color, weight, and packaging while keeping equipment clean and safe.

You’ll work with sensors and tools to verify standards, document findings, and communicate fixes to operators. Training will begin on the day shift before transitioning to the second shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on your feet in an active, warm environment.
• Comfort working near machinery, high temperatures, and oily surfaces.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and keep up the pace during 12-hour shifts.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, “can-do” attitude.
• A love for doing things the right way.

Responsibilities

• Taste potatoes, chips, oil, and packaging like a snack detective.
• Check salt and seasoning levels to ensure flavor accuracy.
• Inspect color, crunch, moisture, and bag weight to meet standards.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and safe.
• Identify and separate products not meeting standards and help diagnose root causes.
• Record findings clearly and communicate adjustments to operators and leaders.
• Assist with training or special samples as needed.
