Job summary

Jackson’s Food Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee preventative maintenance and repairs of production machinery and building equipment. This role supports operations by minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment runs at optimal levels.

The position requires experience in electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, with a strong emphasis on GMP/CFR food safety and OSHA/EPA regulations. Salary and shift details follow.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification.
• Able to climb ladders and work at heights up to 50 feet.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical systems and PLCs.
• Familiar with GMP/CFR food safety programs.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing maintenance role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building and plant equipment, coordinating with the Manager on priorities.
• Assist production with setups and changeovers.
• Execute a preventative maintenance schedule via Fiix CMMS.
• Repair equipment to minimize downtime and maximize uptime.
• Document issues and maintenance in CMMS.
• Respond quickly to production line calls and communicate progress.
• Perform skilled assembly, repairs using hand tools, hydraulic presses and welding.
• Adhere to GMP, CFR, OSHA, FDA, and EPA standards.
• Report food safety issues to supervisor or SQF Practitioner.
