Job summary

HMSHost is hiring a Snack Bar Attendant in San Diego to perform customer service, take orders and process payments. You will help in the kitchen as needed, stock supplies, and ensure proper food handling and sanitation throughout the shift.

This non-exempt role requires the ability to lift and stand for extended periods and to interact with customers and coworkers in a friendly manner. Prior cash handling and service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Food handling procedures knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and takes food order; looks for opportunities to up-sell products.
• Operates cash register and processes payments accurately.
• Cleans and stocks the work area.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assists with kitchen-related functions as needed.
• Receives inventory and maintains knowledge of products.
• Follows proper food handling, labeling, dating, storing and temperature procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes workstation and equipment.
