Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to join a modernization team in Winston-Salem or Radnor. You will re-architect legacy applications to AWS-native solutions, build APIs, and develop AWS Lambda functions while mentoring a 6-8 person team.

You will own Python production deployments, Terraform/CDK, and cloud resources, collaborating with engineers to deliver scalable cloud-based solutions and drive modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Python production development, deployment and support.
• At least 4 years AWS Cloud Development experience.
• Minimum 3 years supporting AWS environments in test and production.
• At least 2 years developing, deploying, and supporting Terraform scripts/CDK.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to join a modernization team. In this role, you will be instrumental in re-architecting legacy applications into AWS-native solutions, building APIs, and developing AWS Lambda functions. This position involves acting as a technical lead and mentor for junior developers within a 6-8 person team.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting Python applications in a production environment.
• At least 4 years of AWS Cloud Development experience.
• A minimum of 3 years supporting AWS environments in both test and production.
• At least 2 years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting Terraform scripts/CDK.
• Experience with Full Stack Application Development.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Python, AWS Lambda, and API Development.
• Experience with Boto 3 SDK, Chalice, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible for AWS.
• Demonstrated ability to write scripts in languages such as Shell, Ruby, or Java.
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud fundamentals including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, EC2, Glue, Kinesis, EMR, Glacier, IAM, ELB, and VPC.
• Knowledge of Bash and networking.

Preferred Qualifications

• An AWS Developer Associate Certification is preferred.
• Experience with application modernization or cloud migration.
• Knowledge of AWS Architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), or CloudWatch/Monitoring.
• Experience with monitoring and load testing applications.
• Software development experience in financial services or real estate related industries is a plus.
• A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
