Rocket EMS, Inc. is seeking an SMT Tooling Coordinator/Technician to manage tooling used in PCBA, ensuring availability, condition, organization, and traceability. This role blends hands-on inspection with inventory control to support efficient production.

You will collaborate with SMT Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing to prepare tooling before runs, reduce setup time, prevent defects, and maintain documentation and records.

Competenze

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years' experience in electronics manufacturing or SMT tooling.
• Hands-on experience with SMT stencils, feeders, nozzles, or production setup tooling.
• Experience supporting Juki placement equipment is a plus.

Mansioni

• Maintain an organized inventory of SMT tooling including stencils, feeders, nozzles, and fixtures.
• Review production schedules to identify tooling requirements and flag shortages before start.
• Verify tooling IDs, revisions, and compatibility with manufacturing documentation.
• Prepare and stage tooling for setups; coordinate return, inspection, and storage after use.
• Inspect stencils for damage and perform tension checks when required.
• Clean and maintain feeders, nozzles, and other tooling per procedures.
• Identify damaged or obsolete tooling and coordinate repair or disposition with Eng/Quality.
• Maintain records of tooling locations, condition, and history.
• Coordinate tooling purchases and outside repairs with Eng and Purchasing.
• Support troubleshooting of tooling-related printing, feeding, and placement issues.
• Assist with new product introductions by organizing incoming tooling and readiness reviews.
• Perform periodic inventory checks and maintain minimum stocking levels.
• Follow 5S, ESD, chemical safety, and quality procedures.
• Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned.
