Role Overview

The SMT Rework Technician will support PCBA rework and harness repairs from Starlink Production Departments, working alongside engineering on new product development such as PCBA, harness, electronic components, and test rack systems.

Responsibilities
  • Proficient soldering and re-work techniques in accordance with IPC and JSTD standards.
  • Soldering and de-soldering through-hole and SMT components.
  • Support conformal coating, masking, epoxy application, and coating processes.
  • Assist avionics engineering with rapid iteration of electronic components and harnesses.
  • Mechanical/electrical assembly of PCB into product chassis.
  • Collaborate with engineering to realize new ideas.
  • Monitor work progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Interpret drawings and controlled documentation.
  • Assist in developing production processes for initial runs.
  • Maintain high concentration, attention to detail, and work accuracy.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or PCBA work.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing or aerospace industry.
  • Electrical wiring experience.
  • IPC/JSTD certifications (e.g., IPC610, IPC 7711/7722, JSTD-001).
  • Proficiency in assembly and prototype development.
  • Experience in testing and experimentation.
  • Proficient with MS Office, ERP, and related software.
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Repetitive assembly, standing, bending, and color discrimination skills.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary ranges vary by level, from $25 to $45/hour, with additional long-term incentives, comprehensive health coverage, 401(k), paid leave, and holidays. Salary and level are determined based on experience and skills.
