Job summary

Rocket EMS, Inc. is seeking a skilled SMT Programmer to join our team in Santa Clara. You will create and optimize programs for SMT equipment to ensure efficient PCB assembly.

Responsibilities include developing programs for SMT machines, performing first article verification, and troubleshooting issues. Candidates should have 2+ years of SMT programming experience and familiarity with Juki, Panasonic, and similar equipment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of SMT programming experience in contract manufacturing or PCBA environment.
• Hands-on experience with Juki, Panasonic, Fuji, or similar SMT equipment.
• Proficient in interpreting Gerber files, CAD data, BOMs, and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and optimize programs for SMT pick-and-place machines.
• Review job documentation before programming.
• Perform first article verification and validate new programs.
• Support NPI builds with setup and verification.
• Troubleshoot SMT program issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve yields and reduce cycle times.
