Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled SMT Process Engineer to support and optimize our PCB/PCBA manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment. This hands-on role focuses on placement, reflow, inspection, and continuous improvement on the production floor.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of SMT process engineering experience within PCB/PCBA manufacturing.
• Expertise in SMT placement equipment, reflow soldering, and thermal profiling.
• Experience with line optimization, yield improvements, and data analysis.
• Hands-on, floor-based mindset to drive real-time solutions.
• Experience supporting automation and production scaling.
• ITAR eligibility; experience in ITAR-regulated environments is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize SMT manufacturing processes, including placement, reflow, and inspection.
• Develop and refine reflow profiles to ensure product quality and process stability.
• Troubleshoot process, equipment, and quality issues in real time on the production floor.
• Drive line optimization efforts to improve throughput, efficiency, and first-pass yield.
• Analyze defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives across SMT operations.
• Support process automation and modernization efforts to enhance scalability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges.
• Assist in validation and implementation of new equipment, materials, and processes.
