Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc. in Rochester, MN is seeking a manufacturing/production professional to operate SMT placement equipment and assist in PCB/system assembly. Under close direction, you will read assembly prints, follow work instructions, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and obtain required certifications.

The shift is 4 from 0600-1800, with full-time hours and comprehensive benefits. This role emphasizes teamwork, quality, and adherence to procedures in a high-precision environment,

Qualifications

• Read and interpret assembly prints, work instructions and drawings.
• Possess basic math skills and the ability to follow procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacture of PCBs and/or systems
• May be certified to operate a limited number and variety of basic machines in production
• Responds to written and verbal instructions
• Obtains certifications on assigned equipment
• Maintains a clean work environment and follow all company policies and practices regarding safety and material handling
• Use cross-reference tools to identify part numbers, descriptions, and vendor; recognize part markings including values
• Assists with line changeover
• Identifies feeder by size and type in SMT equipment
• Demonstrates the use of cross-reference tools to identify part numbers, descriptions and vendor
• Removes hazardous waste at the end of each shift and places in waste storage area; ensures labels are present
