Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc in Rochester, MN seeks an SMT operator to run placement equipment and assist in PCB manufacturing. You will follow assembly prints, maintain safety, and work with diverse lines while supporting continuous improvement.

Shift: 4; Schedule: F-Su 06:00–18:30; safety-sensitive position with pre-employment drug screen where required. Training on equipment and cross-training across site operations provided.

Qualifications

• Read and follow assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacture of PCBs and/or systems.
• May be certified to operate a limited number and variety of basic machines in production.
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow all safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT placement equipment to assemble PCBs and systems per specifications.
• Identify feeders by size/type and set up common equipment.
• Assist with line changeover and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Mentor less experienced operators and support continuous improvement activities.
